Hi, I'm Henriette.
I’m a postpartum doula based on the North Shore, supporting families in North Vancouver and surrounding areas as they navigate the early weeks with their new baby.
My journey into postpartum support began in 2018 with the birth of my first daughter. While the world celebrates the arrival of a baby, I became deeply aware of another transformation happening quietly alongside it: the birth of a mother. Those early weeks are profound, tender, and sometimes overwhelming. They're beautiful and disorienting all at once. Having a steady, grounding presence during that season made a lasting impression on me and planted a seed that never really left.
Before stepping fully into this work, I spent many years in marketing, communications, and executive support roles. I learned how to hold responsibility, manage details, and support others behind the scenes. But it was becoming a mother that shifted something more fundamental in me. It clarified my values and drew me toward work that feels relational, meaningful, and rooted in care. Motherhood reshaped my priorities. It deepened my understanding of how transformative the postpartum period truly is, not just physically, but emotionally and relationally. That shift ultimately brought me back to training and into this work with greater clarity and intention.
A Little More About Me...
I grew up in Germany and moved to Canada in 2015, where I met my husband and am now raising our two daughters on the beautiful North Shore.
When I’m not supporting families, you’ll likely find me on a forest trail with my girls, enjoying a picnic outdoors, going for a run, or searching for the best local coffee.
Motherhood changed me in ways I never expected. Becoming a doula feels like a natural extension of that transformation. A way to offer grounding presence, and to help other families step into this new chapter feeling steady, supported, and confident.
If this resonates with you, I would love to connect.

Why Postpartum Matters
The early weeks after birth bring physical recovery, changing emotions, and the work of settling into new rhythms as a family, all at once. It is a time that asks a great deal of you, while also inviting you to slow down and adjust.
I believe postpartum deserves as much preparation and care as pregnancy and birth. It is not simply a recovery period, but a transition into a new chapter of identity and family life.
In many cultures, the first weeks and months are honoured as a time for rest, nourishment, and being cared for. I value that perspective deeply. Rather than rushing to “bounce back,” I believe in creating space for recovery, steady support, and gentle guidance as you find your footing.
Having someone present who can listen without judgment, offer practical help, and support your choices can make this transition feel more manageable and less isolating.
My Approach
I believe postpartum should be approached as part of your full journey, not in isolation. Your early weeks are shaped by everything that came before them: fertility experiences, pregnancy, birth, expectations, and the reality of those first days at home.
My role is to meet you where you are, without agenda or judgment. I offer evidence-informed, inclusive support that respects your values, your choices, and your unique family dynamic. Care during this time should feel steady, practical, and compassionate.
